Charlie Ballantine worked the overnight shift for WHDH-TV’s 7News for many years, shooting breaking news stories and preparing them for the morning newscasts.  For ten years, he worked closely with Steve Cooper, the former Channel 7 morning news anchor, and was considered an invaluable asset to the morning news team. “We’d come in and Charlie had already done most of our work for us.”
