Carl De Suze

World traveler, author, linguist, and gourmet chef, Carl De Suze brought storytelling and wit to his morning drive time listeners in a radio career that spanned four decades.

Carl DeSuze came to WBZ radio in 1942 and over a career that lasted four decades; he showed how versatile he was. Much more than just a morning-drive d.j., Carl had lived an interesting life and had a million stories to tell.  He could talk about his memories of the Cocoanut Grove fire; or the many celebrities and newsmakers he knew; or all the places he had been during his travels.

In the early days of Boston TV, he even did a children's show, called Surprize Package [note— that IS the correct spelling]. He spoke beautifully, and with his dry wit and his love for the arts, he was always in demand as a guest lecturer. Carl DeSuze was a gifted announcer and a legendary broadcaster.
